A homeowner's first planning questions are free to answer: do I even need permission, how big can I go, will the neighbours object. We built a suite of free tools that answer exactly those, so SurePlan captures that search demand and earns trust before asking for anything. When a quick answer is not enough, the tools hand off to the paid Planning Confidence Report, which compares real approvals and refusals near the property to give a clear confidence score.

The Challenge
Why productise planning confidence
Planning permission is where a home project stalls. A refused application costs money and sets the owner back months, and the usual options are a jargon-heavy council portal or an expensive consultant. Homeowners want a plain answer to one question before they commit: is this likely to be approved. SurePlan needed to turn that question into something you can buy for a fixed price and trust.
Our Approach
How We Built It
We designed and built the entire site. At the centre is the Planning Confidence Report, a paid product that compares recent approvals and refusals near a property and returns a confidence score, comparable projects and clear next steps. Around it we built a suite of free planning tools: a permission checker, a permitted-development route selector, refusal and neighbour-impact checkers, an extension size checker and a set of financial calculators, all of which capture planning searches and build trust before the paid report. Location pages extend the reach across the UK.
