FAQs / Google Reviews

Can I see a list of my Google reviews?

Yes. Reviews of your business are listed in your Google Business Profile, reachable by searching your business name while signed in and opening the reviews section, where you can read, reply and report each one. Reviews you have written for others live separately under your Maps contributions.

For reviews of your business, sign in with the account that manages your Business Profile, search Google for your business name, and open your reviews. Every review is there with reply and report options against each one. Google also provides a reviews management tool for checking the status of reviews you have reported and appealing decisions.

Turn the notifications on. A review answered the day it arrives, good or bad, reads completely differently from one answered in a batch eight months later, and the notification email is what makes same-day replies effortless rather than another chore to remember.

If some reviews seem to be missing, count carefully before assuming theft. Reviews disappear when the reviewer's account is removed for policy breaches, when Google's filters retrospectively catch suspicious patterns, and occasionally in error. Duplicate listings are the other classic cause, with your reviews split across two profiles for the same premises. Merging them recovers the full count.

The other direction of the question has a different answer: reviews you have written about other businesses are listed under your contributions in Google Maps, where you can edit or delete any of them.

One habit worth stealing from bigger operators: skim your review list monthly as management information. Which jobs, which staff and which services get praised or complained about is unfiltered customer research, and small businesses are usually sitting on more of it than they realise.
