FAQs / Google Business Profile
Why is my Google Business Profile not verified?
Usually because verification was never completed, a video or code was rejected or expired, or recent edits to the name, address or category sent the profile back for checks. Open the profile, look for a 'Get verified' or 'Review issues' prompt, and follow what Google asks.

The most common cause is simply an unfinished process. A profile gets created or claimed, the verification step is skipped or abandoned, and nobody notices until the business is missing from Maps. If 'Get verified' is showing, start there.
If you submitted a video and it was rejected, Google tells you why through a 'Review issues' prompt. The usual problems are not showing enough: the location needs street signs or landmarks, the business needs to be visibly real through signage, tools, a branded van or equipment, and there needs to be proof you run it, such as unlocking business premises or showing paperwork with the business name on it. The new video should cover everything from the first one plus whatever was missing.
Mismatched details cause many failures. If the name on the profile is not the name on your van, invoices or signage, or you have added a home address that customers never visit, Google may not be able to match what it sees. Service-area businesses should hide their address and list the areas they cover instead. Google's rules also exclude businesses with no in-person contact with customers, so an online-only service cannot be verified.
A profile can also lose verification after you change key details, and a suspended profile is a different problem from an unverified one. Suspension is a policy action and needs an appeal, not a fresh attempt at verifying. If you have tried every method offered and still cannot get through, contact Business Profile support from the Help Centre.
